Nancy L. Foxen, 66, of Jasper, passed away at 10:21 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at home.

Nancy was born in Jasper on August 17, 1954, to Norbert and JoAnn (Walker) Jones. She married Duane J. Foxen on June 12, 1976, in St. Francis Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2012.

Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Jasper High School. She took pride in being a stay-at-home mom raising her own children, and then after retirement caring for the grandchildren as well. She was a catechist in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Religious Education program for 10 years, was a nurse's aide in Iowa, and worked at both the Boy's and the Girl's Group Homes. Nancy was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. She had previously been a leader for both Girl and Boy Scouts and assisted with various activities for both clubs throughout the area. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Michele (Jim) Schoenbachler of Jasper and Mary (UB) Shepherd of Clarksville; one son, Jeremy (Maeghan) Foxen of Jasper; eight grandchildren, Rileigh Foxen, Josh, Mason, and Simon Schoenbachler, Armond, Alex, and Zoey Shepherd, and Kylen Jones; four sisters, Kathy (Jim) Huffman of Kokomo, Janice Bieker and partner, John Doty, of Huntingburg, Joyce Taber of Jasper, and Julie (Scott) Corn of Jasper; four brothers, Joseph (Darla) Jones of Jasper, Johnny (Cindy) Jones of French Lick, Andrew (Nan) Jones of Jasper, and Tommy (Candelaria) Jones of Jasper.

Preceding her in death besides her husband and her parents, are one sister, Mary Jones, and one brother, Norbert Jones Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy J. Foxen will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Masks and social distancing will be required.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. St. Joseph's Parish will pray a rosary at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
